F&Q's
F&Q's
What do I need to wear and bring along to coaching?
Please wear cool and comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely. Tennis shoes or runners (flat sole). In summer please remember a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.
Does my child require their own racquet for the lesson?
No, we are able to loan a racquet for your child’s lesson. Once your child has started lessons we encourage the child to have their own racquet so they can play away from their lesson. Also, remember the right size racquet is important at a young age. Your Geoff Beech Tennis coach can help you select the right size, weight & grip.
Can I enrol after the term has started?
Yes, you can enrol after the term has started. Once your lesson time is confirmed you will be invoiced at a pro-rata rate for the remainder of the term.
Do we need to be a Club Member to have lessons?
No, you don’t need to be a club member to have tennis lessons at any Geoff Beech Tennis venue. If you would like to play with your child or have your child play with his friends, then we encourage you to become a member. Yearly membership rates are very cost effective and enable you to play all year round.
At what age can my child start tennis lessons?
Your child can start tennis from as young as 5 years old in lessons aimed at fast-tracking Motor Skill Development. At this younger age, the sessions are usually 45 min in length.

Wet Weather Policy
Where possible Geoff Beech Tennis will contact you via phone message or email to let you know if your lesson/s will be cancelled due to wet weather or something unforeseen. If you do not get a call, text or email, please presume the lesson is going ahead as normal. Geoff Beech Tennis has a policy for all coaches to avoid the use of Mobile Phones while on court coaching where possible to make sure our attention is directed to the current lesson at all times. If your coach does not answer their phone, they are more than likely on court coaching.
Make-Up & Cancelation Policy
Squads/Group lessons: Please be aware you are paying for a place in a group. If the lesson goes ahead and you were unable to attend for whatever reason (illness or camp etc) there are no make-ups or credits.
If the lesson is canceled by Geoff Beech Tennis for bad weather or something unforeseen the client will be given a credit towards the next term.
Private one on one lessons: If you do not show for an agreed upon lesson you will be charged. If you cancel with sufficient time prior to the start of your lesson (at least 24 hours prior) Geoff Beech Tennis will hold a credit for upcoming lessons, give a refund or not charge whichever is appropriate. Emergency considerations for cancelations will need to be negotiated with the Head Coach, Geoff Beech.
Please be considerate that the late cancelation of sessions leads to inefficient time use for our team & therefore lost opportunities for others. This policy is to deter people from preventing those clients who are seeking a coaching session, missing an opportunity to see one of the coaches.
